Paradym now supports DIDComm and AnonCreds in the dashboard and API! 🚀 You can now create Anoncreds credential and presentation templates in the dashboard, and the new DIDComm API allows you to issue, verify, connect and exchange basic messages.
In April the Paradym API was released with initial support for SD-JWT Credentials over OpenID4VC, while the workflow builder still supported the AnonCreds/DIDComm stack. The addition of supporting AnonCreds over DIDComm in the API and dashboard is now the final step in the platform becoming fully aligned again.
In Paradym Anonymous Credentials (Hyperledger AnonCreds) do not have options for credential branding and some other additional settings. To read more about the difference between AnonCreds/DIDComm and SD-JWT/OpenID4VC check out our guides on standards and protocols. The following API endpoints have been added (see the full reference here):
- Anoncreds Credential Templates
- DIDComm Invitations
- DIDComm Connections
- DIDComm Issuance
- DIDComm Verification
- DIDComm Messaging
With the release of the API in April, we started Paradym's road to become more developer-focused. This came from many conversations with builders within and outside the Paradym Community who shared the desire for more control during development. Luckily, the API is being received really well and migration is going smoothly. We're continuing this trajectory by fully deprecating the workflow builder.
Paradym is now building API first, with the dashboard containing companion features like logging, insights and project management. Are there any features you're looking for in either the dashboard or the API? Let us know in the Paradym Community!
Now what's next for Paradym? Currently Paradym is fully functional to build end-to-end issuance & verification use cases. Our next steps of the platform will be focused on adding more future-proof functionality that's essential for large scale production use cases, namely:
- Full EUDI legislation compliance, which we're already laying the groundwork for in the Credo framework.
- Trust registry support, both creating your own registries and utilizing existing registries.
- The Paradym Cloud wallet, to offer an alternative to the Paradym mobile wallet.
The Paradym team is very proud of this newest release and we hope you will enjoy it. Do you have questions? Ideas? We’d love to hear them in the Paradym Community Slack!
