Under the eIDAS 2.0 regulation, every EU member state must offer citizens a European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet. Denmark's route is AltID, the official app for IDs and credentials from the Danish Agency for Digital Government. AltID is available as a public app to people over 13 who have MitID and a Danish CPR number. The app is tied to MitID, Denmark’s national eID system, which remains the login and authentication infrastructure and is used for onboarding in the wallet.
The wallet stores credentials locally on the phone and is positioned around data minimisation, so a user can prove a fact such as an age threshold without sharing broader identity data. With Paradym, you can prepare issuance and verification flows for use cases that involve the Danish wallet.
