Under the eIDAS 2.0 regulation, every EU member state must offer citizens a European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet. Spain's EUDI-relevant route is Cartera Digital Beta, which is focused first on privacy-preserving age verification and is expected to mature toward broader EUDI credential support.

Paradym can run OpenID4VP and ISO mdoc verification flows for EUDI-style credentials today. Live verification against Cartera Digital depends on the national wallet reaching public availability and enabling the relevant credentials.
Issuance templates can be configured in Paradym, however Cartera Digital does not yet allow parties to issue (Q)EAAs to the wallet.

Cartera Digital Beta is Spain's EUDI-relevant wallet initiative, focused first on privacy-preserving age verification. It is the clearest route to Spain's future EUDI Wallet credential flows, including PID and other attestations.
Paradym supports verification flows for EUDI-style credentials. However, end-to-end testing with the national wallet depends on that wallet being available and exposing the relevant credentials, as there is currently no available Spanish wallet it is not possible to verify credentials from that wallet.
Paradym can issue standards-compliant EUDI credentials today, but those credentials cannot currently be issued into the Spain national wallet through a public production integration. Once Spain opens its issuer ecosystem as part of its EUDI rollout, Paradym's issuance APIs can be used to issue credentials to Spain wallet, subject to any national onboarding, trust framework, and certification requirements.
Age verification is the main public EUDI-style use case associated with Cartera Digital Beta.
Spain is aligning Cartera Digital Beta with the eIDAS 2.0 wallet direction, but the full national EUDI Wallet with broad PID and cross-border credential support should still be treated as in development.
