Sweden in the EUDI ecosystem

Sweden's EUDI Wallet is still in development, with limited public detail available about its rollout and supported credentials. You can already prepare your Paradym integration for PID and other EUDI credential flows, so you are ready when the national wallet goes live.

Under the eIDAS 2.0 regulation, every EU member state must offer citizens a European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet. Sweden's national wallet should be treated as in development because public wallet-specific rollout detail remains limited.

With Paradym, you can prepare issuance and verification flows for future Swedish PID and EUDI Wallet credentials today, so your integration is ready when the national wallet goes live.

Common questions

How does the EUDI Wallet work in Sweden?

Under the eIDAS 2.0 regulation, every EU member state must offer citizens a European Digital Identity Wallet. Public wallet-specific rollout details remain limited.

What is the Swedish EUDI Wallet?

The Swedish EUDI Wallet is the national wallet Sweden must make available under eIDAS 2.0. It is expected to support person identification data and other EUDI credentials once the national rollout is ready.

Can I verify Swedish EUDI Wallet credentials with Paradym?

Paradym supports verification flows for EUDI-style credentials. However, end-to-end testing with the national wallet depends on that wallet being available and exposing the relevant credentials, as there is currently no available Swedish wallet it is not possible to verify credentials from that wallet.

Can I issue credentials to the Sweden EUDI Wallet with Paradym?

Paradym can issue standards-compliant EUDI credentials today, but those credentials cannot currently be issued into the Sweden national wallet through a public production integration. Once Sweden opens its issuer ecosystem as part of its EUDI rollout, Paradym's issuance APIs can be used to issue credentials to Sweden wallet, subject to any national onboarding, trust framework, and certification requirements.
